For me, it's not the end. It's just the beginning..

I have discovered many fascinating things through the exercises on this learning journey. This program has helped me a lot to learn more and more every day and to be able to do things that I have never known how to do before. Things like making calendars, uploading photos and videos, adding links, making videos (I have not made any for my own yet) and so on.
Thanks to all who developed this program for giving me and many others this opportunity to discover and learn.

Audiobooks

I can't wait to see how my patrons will react when they are told that they can download eAudiobooks and that they never have to pay overdue fines. It's amazing.

Podcasts

Click on the link above if you want to look at this podcast. It's interesting. Things like YouTube and Podcasts are fascinating. They certainly have a good place in libraries.

YouTube

I chose this video because it's so funny. It gives me a good laugh every time I watch. I particularly like the efforts of the stretcher bearer.

Library staff could use this tool by posting library related videos on YouTube and providing links to them on the library website.

WEB 2.0 AWARDS

I like almost everything I have seen. Many of the tools are very good. They can be used in libraries for things such as events, communication and so on. Here are some links for you to look at:

Web-based Applications

If you click on the link below you will be able to see some documents I have created using Zoho writer.

It's fascinating and I love it!

Learning2.0 Sandbox wiki

This is an amazing experience. Well, I guess I need to spend more time to get things done perfectly.

Wiki

There are a lot of interesting things about Wiki. It's fast, flexible and easy to use. Libraries can use Wiki to promote their events, review books, provide information about their facilities and services and so on. I have used Wiki myself to get some information about things I like. It's fast and good enough for me.

I always think that technology is an amazing thing.

When computerised records began replacing catalogue cards, the computing era had arrived in libraries. It saves staff time in terms of cataloguing, processing loans and providing information to patrons.
Web 2.0 Library 2.0 certaintly has already had a big impact on me. It helps me to learn more and believe that I can do more than just search for information and issue books to my patrons.

I will be surprised if technological changes do not continue.

Technorati

Technorati has allowed me to create links directly to my blog which is very good.

Del.icio.us

I have used Del.icio.us to bookmark what I am interested in. I do not need to go to many places to look for what I want. They are all here. Fantastic!

LibraryThing

http://www.librarything.com/catalog/tien

Well, I have added 5 books to my library. They are classic novels. I read them years ago and I enjoyed them very much.

Here is a picture of me taken on San Clemente beach in California doing further library related research on contemporary American literature.

Image generator

For this activity, I have used FD Toys to create this calendar. It was very easy to make it. If I can do it, you can do it too.

Finding Feeds

I like using keyword or phrase searches to find things that I am interested in. I have found that some tools are very easy to use and some are not. So far, I have used Google, Topix.net, and Technorati. They are pretty good.

RSS and Newreaders

This activity is quite challenging and interesting. I can now use RSS and take avantage of this technology for my work. Why not?

Technology vs Tien (Tech:99, Tien:1)

There is no doubt that I still have to learn a lot in order to catch up with new things. It will take time - a lot of time to learn and get things done.
